Today's Class Topic:

• We went over the sylibus
• Discussed shortcuts in MS Word

New Keyboard Shortcuts:

• CTRL A = control all
• CTRL S = save
• F12 = save as

New Things I Learned Today:

• I learned to remove the 10 point gap in Word
• I learned there are 72 points per inch in a font
• I found that by going in the "gutter" and clicking a paragraph 2 times it will select all the paragraph
• I am amazed that all these years I could have been using my MS Word software in less the time if I had know all the shortcuts

New MS Word Ribbon Item:

• I found the smart art graphic button on the insert tab.  I used the smart art for one of my PowerPoint presentation.  It made putting content in bubbles surrounding the main topic bubble look very appealing.

• My name is Laurie Holley and I am attending South Florida Community College
• My program of study is Medical Administrative Specialist
• I began the program in January 2012 and plan to finish in the spring of 2013
